Athens '98 grad Jim Secreto receives new White House appointment
Athens grad Jim Secreto ('98) has been named special assistant to the President and Director of Confirmations
Per a White House Announcement:
Jim Secreto has been named Special Assistant to the President and Director of Confirmations. Secreto previously served as Counsel to Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, Chief Counsel to the Senate Democratic Policy Committee, and Chief Investigative Counsel to then-Ranking Member Tom Carper on Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee. During the Obama-Biden Administration, he served as Deputy Associate Counsel in the White House Counsel’s Office and in various roles at the U.S. Department of Energy. Born and raised in Michigan, Secreto is a graduate of the University of Michigan, Georgetown University Law Center, and the Harvard Kennedy School (and an 1998 Athens Grad!).
