Automotive Supplier Bringing Jobs To Troy
VDL Steelweld will build its U.S. headquarters in Troy.

TROY, MI — An automotive supplier plans to build its U.S. Headquarters in Troy and bring about 40 jobs to the city. Troy beat out locations in South Carolina and California for VDL Steelweld Michigan LLC, according to an Oakland Press report.
Jeff Mason, CEO of the Michigan Economic Development Corporation, said VDL Steelweld will become a contributor to the state’s vehicle supply chain. “This investment further enhances our reputation as the center for the global automotive industry,” he said.
“As a result of this Michigan investment, the company was awarded a $300,000 grant funding from the Michigan Economic Development Corporation.”
