Bathroom Fan May Have Caused Saturday Townhouse Fire
The Troy Fire Department responded to the fire, which left the structure uninhabitable.

No injuries were reported in a Saturday afternoon fire that left the occupants of a Troy townhouse-style apartment homeless.
According to a media release from the Troy Fire Department, the fire may have been caused by fan in the upstairs bathroom, though the exact cause of the fire remains under investigation.
Four different Troy fire stations responded to the apartment on the 1000 block of Villa Park just after noon on Saturday and found smoke showing from the two-story, multi-family residence.

Firefighters entered the home, located the fire in the upstairs bathroom ceiling area and extinguished the fire, though not before it spread to the attic area of the apartment. Firefighters extinguished the fire after it spread, though extensive fire and water damage made the home uninhabitable.
The occupants with the home are reportedly staying with relatives, according to the media release.
