Bomb Scare At Michigan Mall

Oakland County Sheriff K-9 Unit Bomb dogs were brought in to sniff out the reported bomb.

FLINT TOWNSHIP, MI — There was a reported bomb scare at the Genesee Valley Mall during the height of the holiday shopping season, according to a press release.

The Oakland County Sheriff's Office reports that employees received several phone calls leading them to believe there may be a bomb inside of Macy's or somewhere else in the Genesee Valley Mall, located at 4600 Miller Rd., on Dec. 13 at 12:59 p.m.

The mall was evacuated and two Oakland County Sheriff's Office K-9 Unit Bomb dogs worked alongside K-9 Units with the Genesee County Sheriff's Office to sniff around for the reported bomb.

The search yielded nothing suspicious. The Genesee County Sheriff’s Office is conducting an investigation.
