Cantoro’s New Restaurant Will Occupy Old Tre Monti Site
Troy will get a new Italian market and restaurant on the site of the former Tre Monti Restaurant.

Cantoro Italian Market and Trattoria announced its latest restaurant will be on the grounds of the San Marino Club, in the building that once housed Tre Monti. Cantoro’s owners, John and Michael Fallone, also run the flagship Cantoro Italian Market and Trattoria in Plymouth and a second market in Livonia.
The new Troy restaurant will occupy 10,000 square feet at 1695 E. Big Beaver Road in Troy, with seating for 120 in the dining room, 20 in the bar area, banquet space with room for 125 and an outdoor courtyard with space for 80 guests. The new restaurant will also have a bocce court, the Cantoro's owners say.
“My family is pleased to grow our Cantoro Italian Trattoria dining experience,” John Fallone said in a statement. “The location is surrounded by a dense business and residential community that is culturally diverse — including a strong Italian population — who all love great food. Diners will love our brighter, complete redesign and remodel of the space.”

The Fallone brothers, the second generation of their family to run the business, say the new Troy space will add 50 jobs, and that the food offerings will be similar to what diners enjoy in the Plymouth location - steaks and chops and Italian favorites served in an smart casual environment.
