A Child is Waiting: Active Robert Loves Helping -- and Joking
Hundreds of Michigan children are hoping to be adopted by willing, forever families.

"Twelve-year-old Robert is quite the jokester," his worker says, smiling. "He is very friendly and well-mannered and loves to do fun and simple 'pranks,' like pretending he's fallen asleep -- complete with dramatic snoring -- when he's sitting next to you."
On his M.A.R.E. video (mare.org; case #C09402), Robert shares how he likes to play hockey and that he enjoys watching "Mickey Mouse" and "Frozen," that his favorite food is pizza, that he'd like to become a police officer.
"He is outgoing and has a good sense of humor," another worker shares. "He is also loving and affectionate. He often greets you with a warm smile and a big hug."
"He loves to sing and dance," she adds. "He likes to entertain and show off his new dance moves. He enjoys swimming, being outside, riding his tricycle, spending time with his sister and singing karaoke."
He also enjoys playing board games and using his tablet.
"Robert is a very active child. Though he can be quiet at times, normally he is energetic," his worker says. "He enjoys running outside and exploring his surroundings. Robert is a great candidate for the Special Olympics."
"The ideal family for Robert would be a two-parent family," states his worker. "He should have someone who is home with him most of the time or has, at least, a flexible schedule. It would be helpful if the family has some type of medical background or is willing to be trained, as Robert has medical issues."
"And," she adds, "they need to be advocates for him and continue with the support services which are helping him to improve his skills and health."
Robert is a very affectionate and light-hearted child who likes sitting next to his workers and giving and getting hugs, who has love -- and lots of funny faces -- to share with an adoptive, "forever family."
