Costello Daisy Scouts Send Cards, Gifts to Troops Overseas
The scouts worked with Michigan Military Moms to send out the packages.
The following information was submitted by the City of Troy.
Daisy Scouts from Troop 71024 at Costello Elementary School recently made Christmas cards and letters to send to troops overseas along with packaged snacks and other necessities. They worked with Michigan Military Moms to send the gifts.
One of the Daisy Scouts, MaKenzi Haji, has a brother, Cpl. Brandon Z. Allen, who is currently serving in the Marine Corps.

Michigan Military Moms (MMM) is a support group for Moms whose sons and daughters are either serving or have served in the United States military. They send packages to troops, support military families and veterans, march in parades, assist with other patriotic events, help with fundraisers for our veterans and volunteer with the VA Hospital.
Military Moms maintains close relations with the Red Cross, VA Hospitals, and local veteran organizations. Their hope is reach out to every military mom in Michigan, providing comfort and support to these Moms that only another military Mom can understand.Â
