Deputies Revive Potential Heroin Overdose Victim With Narcan: Police

Oakland County Sheriff's Office Deputies were dispatched to a Pontiac home after receiving a report of a potential heroin overdose victim​.

OAKLAND COUNTY, MI — Oakland County Sheriff's Office Deputies were dispatched to a Pontiac home after receiving a report of a potential heroin overdose victim, according to a police report.

The incident unfolded at a residence in the 800 block of W. University Drive on Feb. 3 at 5:38 a.m. Arriving Deputies were met be several people in the home, one of which led Deputies to a bedroom where an unconscious man suffering from labored breathing was lying on the floor, according to the police report. Deputies say drug paraphernalia was lying near the victim, identified as a 24-year-old Pontiac man.

The man reportedly became "conscious and alert" after Deputies administered a dose of Narcan to him, according to the police report. After he was stabilized, the man was transported to McLaren Hospital - Oakland for additional evaluation, Deputies say.
