Detroit's Jack White, Iggy Pop And Mike Posner Nominated For Grammy Awards
Lot of musical talent coming out of Detroit.
METRO DETROIT, MI — Three Detroit musicians received Grammy nominations in the Dec. 6 Grammy nomination ceremony.
Detroit native Jack White, who shot to massive success as part of the rock group the White Stripes, received a string of nominations. His song "City Lights" is up for Best American Roots Song and he received a nomination for Best Rock Performance for his work with Beyonce on “Don’t Hurt Yourself.” White also is part of the songwriting team on Beyonce’s album "Lemonade," which is up for Album of the Year. White has won eight Grammy awards.
Legendary rocker Iggy Pop, who was raised in Ypsilanti, earned a Best Alternative Album nomination for his album "Post Pop Depression." This is his second nomination.

Southfield's Mike Posner was nominated for Song of the Year for "I Took A Pill in Ibiza." This is singer/songwriter Posner's first ever nomination.
The 59th Grammy Awards will take place on Feb. 12, 2017.
