Drunken Driving Suspect Tested at Four Times Over the Limit, Troy Police Say

Driving under influence of alcohol/drugs
Krispy Kreme, 208 W. 14 Mile Rd., Jan. 22, 11:07 p.m.:Â Officers responded to a disorderly person complainant. Upon investigation officers were able to ascertain the suspect drove her vehicle into the ditch on I-75 and Fourteen Mile. The suspect was slurring her words and had bloodshot glassy eyes. The suspect admitted to drinking and failed field sobrieties. The suspect, a 46-year-old from Rochester Hills, was arrested for operating while intoxicated (second offense). Breath test results were .32 percent.West Big Beaver Road and Livernois Avenue, Jan. 20, 12:17 a.m.: Troy officers stopped a vehicle for an improper turn. The driver had bloodshot glassy eyes and an odor of intoxicants coming from inside the vehicle. The driver, a 50-year-old from Pompano Beach, FL, failed field sobrieties and was arrested for operating while intoxicated. Breath test results were .10 percent.
Wattles Road and John R Road, Jan. 20, 9:28 a.m.: Troy officers stopped a vehicle for a speeding violation. Officers detected a strong odor of intoxicants coming from inside the vehicle. The driver admitted to drinking and failed field sobrieties. The driver, a 28-year-old from Troy, was arrested for operating while intoxicated. Breath test results were .21 percent.
Bottle & Cork, 1660 John R Rd., Jan. 21, 9:22 p.m.: Officers were dispatched on a possible drunk driver. Officers located the vehicle which was weaving in its lane. The driver admitted to drinking and had a strong odor of intoxicants coming from her person. The driver, a 31-year-old from Auburn Hills, failed field sobrieties and was arrested for operating while intoxicated. Breath test results were .17 percent.
John R and East Big Beaver Road, Jan. 22, 6:31 p.m.: Troy officers stopped a vehicle for a red light violation. The driver had a strong odor of intoxicants coming from his person. The driver was found to have a suspended license and failed field sobrieties. The driver, a 37-year-old from Detroit, was arrested for operating while intoxicated (third offense) and driving with a suspended license. A blood draw was conducted with results pending.
Breaking and entries
SOCRRA, 995 Coolidge, Jan. 18-20, 3 p.m. to 6 a.m.: Employees advised a safe had been broken into in one of the offices. Missing from the safe was $600 in cash and paperwork.
2612 Elliot, Jan. 18-20, 2 p.m. to 6 a.m.: Employees advised the front door had been pried open. Missing from the business was $50 in snack monies, a checkbook and $1,200 in cash.
Credit, check, identity theft, other fraud
Independent Bank, 5950 Rochester Rd., Jan. 22, 3:48 p.m.: Bank employee advised a suspect presented a check in the amount of $400. The bank employee stated she thought the check looked fraudulent and verified the check with the business who confirmed the check was indeed fraudulent. The suspect, a 40-year-old from Detroit, was arrested for uttering and publishing check.

900 block of Eckford, Jan. 8-12, 12 noon: Complainant advised someone used his Cabellas credit card to purchase sunglasses and have them delivered in California. Complainant advised no one had permission to make the purchase.
Ferragamo, 2801 W. Big Beaver Rd., Jan. 22, 7:43 p.m.: Loss prevention officers advised the suspect had presented fraudulent credit cards for purchase. The suspect presented a Master Card to purchase two belts totaling $784.00. The number on the face of the credit card did not match the number that was coded onto the magnetic strip. The suspect attempted another purchase at Saks Fifth Avenue for two pairs of jeans valued at $500 with a fraudulent card. The suspect, a 22-year-old from Novi, was arrested and charged with fraud (illegal use of credit card).

Larcenies from autos
There was one reported larceny from an auto during the time period covered by this report, items reported missing:
