Family-Friendly Drive In Movie Fundraiser Benefits Charities
Benefits Community Housing Network and Furniture Bank of Southeastern Michigan
Community Housing Network and the Furniture Bank of Southeastern Michigan have joined forces once again for a family-friendly Drive In Movie Fundraiser presented by: PNC Bank on Thursday, June 3, 2021 at Freedom Hill County Park, 14900 Metro Parkway, Sterling Heights, MI 48312.
The evening will include fun and entertainment for all, as the two organizations work together to raise essential funds to continue the important work we they do in the community and help create a sense of home for people across SE Michigan.
The Drive-In Movie Fundraiser will present Star Wars: Episode V- The Empire Strikes Back. All tickets will be sold in advance and can be purchased at Community Housing Network’s website.

“Community Housing Network and the Furniture Bank have provided 880 vulnerable Metro Detroit families with furnished, stable homes since we began working together ten years ago,” said Robert Boyle, Furniture Bank of Southeastern Michigan. “With recent data showing that one in four households risk eviction, stable housing is more important than ever.”
Now more than ever, nonprofits like Community Housing Network and Furniture Bank of Southeastern Michigan are depending on the support and generosity of community donors and corporate sponsors during this unpredictable time allowing them to continue to provide resources for people who are homeless, with disabilities, low income and other vulnerable residents of SE Michigan.

“We are excited to offer this safe, family-friendly event that will allow people the chance to have fun while learning more about both of our organizations,” said Marc Craig, CEO, Community Housing Network. “The more we work together, the more individuals and families, our neighbors, we will be able to help.”
Ticket cost is $60 per vehicle to enter. Screening is limited to 150 vehicles. Gates open at 6pm; movie begins at 7pm. Concessions will be available for purchase, including food trucks, popcorn, candy and non-alcoholic drinks.
To ensure the health and safety of our event attendees and staff, health and safety protocols will be practiced throughout the event. Including:
- Each vehicle will have a 15 ft x 20 ft designated space.
- All staff will be wearing masks and gloves
- Line for restrooms will maintain social distancing and will be marked
- Masks must be worn when purchasing food or using restrooms
