Great Lakes Water Authority Releases Statement About Water Main Break Affecting Troy And Rochester Hills

The boil water advisory is still in effect for Troy and Rochester Hills while crews work on the issue.

TROY, MI The Great Lakes Water Authority has released a statement regarding the Nov. 13 colossal water main break, which has left many residents with an extreme loss of water pressure and triggered a boil water advisory in Troy and Rochester Hills.

Below please find the official statement from the Great Lakes Water Authority:

"On Sunday, November 13, the Great Lakes Water Authority (GLWA) experienced a water main break on its 84” North Service Center main. Repair crews were promptly notified and repairs began Sunday afternoon. At this time, we anticipate repairs to take three to four days.

We are working closely with all communities that have been affected, with the main priority being the delivery of water of unquestionable quality. This break affected Troy, Rochester Hills and Pontiac.
