Hour Detroit To Name Cutest Pet In Petfest
People can enter their pets now through July 4.
TROY, MI — Think your pet is the cutest in Metro Detroit? Well, you can sign up for the chance to prove it anytime between now and July 4.
Hour Detroit is seeking metro Detroit's cutest pet through Petfest, and nominations will be accepted through July 4 at PetFestDet.com.
“Regardless of whether they run, swim, hop, fly or slither, pets are truly beloved family members,” Hour Detroit Editor-In-Chief Dan Caccavaro said in a news release. “We’re determined to find metro Detroit’s cutest pet and support a nonprofit focused on pets and our community.”

Nominations must include the pet’s name, birthdate, a photo and an entry fee of $10 to enter. All proceeds will benefit Detroit Dog Rescue, a no-kill shelter specializing in humane rescue alternatives for forgotten, homeless and stray dogs, according to a news release.
Public online voting is free and can be submitted daily online July 5 through Aug. 2. The pet that receives the most votes will be announced as the Cutest Pet on Sept. 15 to receive a professional photoshoot and be featured in Hour Detroit’s October issue.
