Merrill Advisor Thomas Pursel Named to Forbes Best-in-State List

Merrill Managing Director and Private Wealth Advisor Thomas S. Pursel has been recognized again on the Forbes "Best-in-State Wealth Advisors" list. He was also named to the list in 2020. Tom began his career at Merrill in 1983. He works closely with affluent individuals, families, and institutions to create customized wealth management strategies and advice. Tom’s longevity with Merrill has given him unusual insight into the depth of resources and cross-functional capabilities of the firm.

He has significant experience in investment management and is a qualified Portfolio Manager who, in addition to providing traditional advice and guidance, can help clients pursue their objectives by building and managing personalized or defined strategies. Together with the senior members of the group, Tom contributes to the management of the team’s proprietary investment programs.

Tom holds a B.A. from the University of Michigan. He is actively involved in the community and currently serves as the Michigan Board Chair of the American Cancer Society.
