Metro Detroit Easter Weekend Weather Forecast: What To Expect

After a cool Thursday evening, temperatures will rebound on Friday with a high near 60 degrees and the day will be mostly sunny.

METRO DETROIT, MI — If you have outdoor plans for this Easter weekend, make sure to have an umbrella at the ready. Not that it’s going to be a total washout, but there is a strong chance of showers on Saturday and then again on Sunday before 3 p.m., according to the National Weather Service.

After a cool Thursday evening, temperatures will rebound on Friday with a high near 60 degrees. Saturday and Sunday will be even warmer with temperatures climbing close to 80 Saturday and around 70 on Sunday. Here’s a closer look at your holiday weekend forecast:

Friday: Partly sunny, with a high near 60. East northeast wind 7 to 10 mph. Friday Night: A chance of showers after 3am. Increasing clouds, with a low around 48. East southeast wind 6 to 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%.

Saturday: A chance of showers, with thunderstorms also possible after 9am. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 77. South wind 8 to 16 mph, with gusts as high as 29 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%. Saturday Night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms before 9pm, then a chance of showers after 3am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 60. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Sunday: A chance of showers before 3pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 70. Chance of precipitation is 50%. Sunday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 45.

Monday: Sunny, with a high near 59.
