Metro Detroit Weather Forecast: Beautiful Week Ahead

METRO DETROIT, MI — In one of legendary Michigan rocker Bob Seger’s songs, the lyrics talk about the “sweet summertime.” After months of clouds, cold and snow, the days of sunshine and warmth are precious. Seger would, no doubt, appreciate the coming work week weather forecast.

Sunday’s low temperature is expected to dip to a comfortable 63 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. Winds will be light at 5 to 10 mph. Here’s a closer look at the weather forecast for the week of June 19:

Monday: A chance of showers after 2pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 78. West southwest wind 6 to 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%. Monday Night: A chance of showers before 8pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 60. West wind 6 to 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Tuesday: A chance of showers. Partly sunny, with a high near 76. West wind 9 to 13 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. Tuesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 58.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 78. Wednesday Night: A chance of showers after 2am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 62.

Thursday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 82. Thursday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 66.

Friday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 83.
