Michigan at Rutgers Football: Everything You Need To Know
Kickoff time, TV, point spread, tickets and other information you need before Saturday's game.

After Saturday’s grueling 14-7 victory over No. 8 Wisconsin, No. 4 Michigan gets a breather when it travels to Rutgers. The oddsmakers have the Wolverines favored by less than four touchdowns, which is a reflection of how difficult a time Michigan had with the Badgers. If the Wolverines bounce back, as expected, they should prevail by a hefty margin, just as Ohio State did over the Scarlet Knights on Saturday (a 58-0 demolition).
If there is any reason for Michigan to fret regarding this matchup (there isn’t), it’s the fact the Wolverines are playing their first road game of the year. Otherwise, Michigan is superior in all facets of the matchup. The Wolverines’ defense figures to apply a healthy amount of pressure on Rutgers quarterback Chris Laviano, who has been sacked 11 times this year while throwing for only 5 touchdowns (and 2 interceptions). If Michigan’s defense pressures Laviano and forces turnovers, the game will get out of hand quickly.
Against Wisconsin, Wolverines quarterback Wilton Speight only mustered 219 yards and a touchdown along with an interception. The running game struggled as well, with Michigan running for only 3 yards per carry. The Badgers, though, have a top-notch defense, while Rutgers … does not. The Scarlet Knights have allowed more than 32 points per game and figure to open plenty of running lanes for Wolverines backs De’Veon Smith and Ty Isaac.
