Oakland County Coronavirus Update: 90,972 Cases, 2,012 Deaths

OAKLAND COUNTY, MI — The deaths of more than 2,000 people in Oakland County have been related to the coronavirus, according to the most recent data released Monday by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services.

According to the state data, 90,972 cases of the coronavirus have been confirmed in Oakland County. Meanwhile, 2,012 people in the county have died from the virus, according to state numbers.

Michigan on Monday reported 8,574 new cases of the coronavirus and added 61 more COVID-19 deaths.

The updated figures — which represent cases reported since Saturday — bring Michigan's total coronavirus numbers to 793,881 confirmed COVID-19 cases and 16,901 reported COVID-19 deaths.
More than 603,000 people in Michigan also have recovered from the coronavirus, according to state health officials.
