Oakland County Sheriff Seeks Info After Suspect Shoots At Deputy
The off-duty deputy was driving to work when someone pulled up alongside his vehicle and shot at him, according to the sheriff.
OAKLAND COUNTY, MI — The Oakland County Sheriff's Office is seeking information after an unknown person pulled up next to and shot at an off duty deputy late Saturday.
According to Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard, the deputy was driving on I-96, between the Merriman and Farmington Road exits, on his way to work, when an unknown driver pulled his vehicle beside the deputy's and shot once at the deputy's vehicle.

The shot hit the officer's vehicle, and Bouchard said there was no altercation or interaction between the two drivers leading up to the shooting.

Bouchard said the suspect was described as a Black man in his mid-to-late-20s or 30s, with either braids or dreadlocks to his shoulders. The sheriff also said the suspect had a light, scruffy beard.
