Oakland County Sheriff's Office Launches New App
The Oakland County Sheriff's Office launched a new smartphone application that will allow residents to stay up-to-date on community info.
OAKLAND COUNTY, MI — The Oakland County Sheriff's Office is launching a new smartphone application that will allow residents to stay up-to-date on what criminal activity is happening in their communities.
The app will provide quick access to ways residents can submit tips to police, search and view jail inmates and view Oakland County's Most Wanted. The app serves as another way to maintain communication and transparency between the department and the community, according to Sheriff Michael Bouchard.
“Technology is evolving, and we like to stay on the cutting edge” Bouchard said in a statement. “With advances in technology, it is more and more critical we continue to keep up in order to stay connected with our communities and our citizens. This mobile app serves as another way for us to be transparent and keep our people informed of the things we are doing in the county. We are excited to offer this solution to the people of Oakland County.”
