Golfsmith employee's purse, car stolen during shift

An employee at Golfsmith discovered during her shift Saturday evening that someone had stolen her purse – which contained her drivers license, car keys and credit cards – from an unlocked locker in the employee break room. She then discovered her car had also been stolen.

When the woman called to cancel her credit cards, she learned two of them had already been used at gas stations in Detroit.

Man stopped for shoplifting found with marijuana

A 22-year-old Detroit man was arrested for retail fraud in the second degree and possession of marijuana Saturday afternoon when he was seen concealing two pairs of True Religion jeans valued at $662 in his backpack and exiting the store without paying. A Troy officer discovered a bag of marijuana in the suspect's pants pocket when he was being searched. He was transported to Troy lock-up.

Woman reports seeing naked man in Walmart parking lot

A woman shopping at Walmart reported Thursday afternoon that she had seen a naked man in a light blue Toyota Celica 2-door. The man is described as 50-60 years old, bald and thin. A Troy officer searched the area but was unable to locate the man.

Man cited for soliciting without a permit

A 33-year-old man from Newport News, VA was cited Saturday afternoon for soliciting without a permit after receiving a complaint from a resident on the 3000 block of Victoria. One of the officers immediately recognized the man as someone she had issued a warning to earlier in the week.
