Police: Target Shopper Suspected of Stealing $538 Of Merchandise
Police say the woman also had burglary tools at the time of her arrest.
TROY, MI — A woman allegedly went on a Target shopping spree - on Target's dime - before being busted by security, according to police logs.
On Dec. 3 at 10:59 p.m., Troy police responded to a call at Target, 1301 Coolidge Hwy, in Troy. A 41-year-old Royal Oak woman was apprehended by Loss Prevention for allegedly attempting to steal $538.83 worth of merchandise. Responding officers arrested the woman and while conducting a search, discovered 5 ½ of Xanax and 19 strips of Suboxone, Scotch Scissors and Dewalt Cutting Plyers in her purse.
The woman was charged with Retail Fraud – 2nd Degree, Possession of Synthetic Narcotics, and Possession of Burglary Tools.
