Police: Woman Attacked Ex-Boyfriend's Truck with Tire Iron on I-75

Troy Police officers responded to reports of a woman attacking another vehicle with a tire iron on Interstate 75 near Adams Road the afternoon of Sept. 21.

According to a media release from the Troy Police Department, the woman, who had been driving a van, stopped her vehicle in heavy traffic and began striking a truck with a tire iron.

"Apparently, the truck driver and the van driver had once had a brief relationship," reads the media release. "When the van driver saw the truck driver with another woman in his vehicle, she got out of her van, which she stopped in heavy traffic on I-75, and attacked the truck with a tire iron."

The woman got back into her van and fled the scene before police arrived, according to the media release; detectives are conducting a follow-up investigation.
