Southfield Man Charged With Murder After Oakland County Shooting

​A 25-year-old man has been charged with murder in connection to the shooting death of a man in Southfield during a carjacking.

OAKLAND COUNTY, MI — A 25-year-old Southfield man has been charged with murder in connection to the shooting death of a man in Southfield during a carjacking Dec. 27.

Tyron Miguel Turner Jr. has been arraigned in 46th District Court on one count of felony murder, one count of carjacking and two counts of felony firearm, Southfield police said Friday morning.

Turner is being held without bond, according to police.

Southfield police said that on Dec. 27, officers responded to the 26000 block of Primary Drive in the city following the report of a carjacking. When police arrived, they said they found a 48-year-old man with two gunshot wounds in the driveway of the home. The man later died at a local hospital, police said.

According to police, Turner carjacked the 48-year-old man as he was arriving at the home.
