Troy Farmer's Market Reopens Friday At New Location

TROY, MI — Troy residents looking for fresh veggies and fruits don't have to wait long to get some. The Troy Farmers Market reopens for the new season on Friday.

This season is going to be a little different, though. The farmers market will be at a new location, opening at noon on Friday from the Community Center North Lot, 3179 Livernois Rd.

The Troy Farmers Market includes an array of Michigan-made products, such as homemade pasta, wine and BBQ sauces, as well as other farmed products like honey, eggs, beef, pork, chicken or even plants and shrubs.

Most vendors have been with the market since its first year in 2018, city officials said, but there are several new additions this year, like authentic polish pierogies, freshly roasted coffee, homemade pies and artisan cheese.

Food options include several food trucks, including from E and L’s Tiny Tacos, The Lobster Food Truck, Motor City Franks, Notch’Yo Nachos and The Great Greek.

Cooking demonstrations are scheduled for throughout the season, with appearances from local chefs slated for July 9, July 16 and July 23.

Live music is planned for every other week, and each market will include crafts for kids.
