Troy High Chosen to Host Marching Band Festival
The Troy High Marching Band will host eight other area marching bands at the Oct. 10 competition.

Nine area marching bands will take the field at Troy High School on Wednesday, Oct. 10 to present their half-time shows as part of the Michigan School Band and Orchestra Marching Band Festival, hosted by the Troy High School Marching Band.
It is the first time in more than 15 years that Troy High School has hosted the festival.
The 15-minute presentations begin at 6:15 p.m., and each band will be adjudicated in areas of general effect, marching, and music. A closing ceremony ends the evening with ratings and trophies distributed by Troy School District Superintendent Barbara Fowler and Troy High School Principal Mark Dziatczak.

- Clawson
- De La Salle Collegiate
- Van Dyke Lincoln
- Richmond
- Rochester Adams
- L’Anse Creuse North
- Rochester High
Members of the Troy Colt Marching Band will end the evening with a performance of their “Magic Carpet Ride” show.

The general public is welcome and encouraged to attend. Tickets are $3 for adults and $2 for students and seniors; tickets are available at the gate.
For advance tickets, send checks payable to Troy High Band Boosters (4777 Northfield Parkway, Troy, MI 48098). Note: please specify number of adult and student/senior tickets you wish to purchase. Advanced tickets will be available at the ticket booth “will call” window.
