Troy Police Department Debuts New Smartphone App

With the increase in popularity and availability of smart phones combined with the goal of the Troy Police Department to maximize service, interaction and transparency with the public, the department has developed and now introduces our own new smartphone mobile app! 

As with our previous means of connecting with the public – e-mails, webpage, Facebook and Twitter – our mobile app allows for near-instantaneous dissemination of important public information alerts such as traffic, weather and police situations. These alerts can also assist and enhance our partnership with our community in enlisting assistance and being our extra “eyes.” 

Most people spend a finite time in front of their computers and laptops; however, they seldom are without their smart phones, and the Troy Police Department’s mobile app will provide real time connection. The app is currently available for Droid/Google devices and will soon be available in Apple’s App Store for their devices.
