Troy Police Looking For Home For Kitten Rescued From Car Engine
Troy police officers are used to responding to emergencies to help people, but on Saturday their kills were needed to help a fuzzier friend.
TROY, MI — Officers from the Troy Police Department are used to responding to emergencies to help people, but on Saturday their kills were needed to help a fuzzier friend.
Officer from the department's afternoon shift were called to help a kitten that was truck in a car engine, the department said. After about 45 minutes, officer were able to get the kitten out of the vehicle and to safety. She spent one night at the home of an officer and then took the kitten to Tigerlily Rescue, the department said.
"We aren’t sure yet, but this kitten may have what it takes to be a reserve Pawfficer," the department said in a Facebook pot.

Tigerlily Rescue said it has named the cat Olive. The kitten will get a checkout soon, along with being spayed and vaccinated, the rescue said. She should be ready for adoption in about a month, according to the rescue.
