Troy Police Seek Man Who Stole Purse at Somerset

Troy police are searching for a man who reportedly stole a woman's purse on Dec. 15 at  and later used one of her credit cards to purchase gasoline.
Police released a photo from the local gas station where the man used the credit card. The man was described as about 20 years old, wearing a puffy jacket with a fur collar, white button-down shirt, khaki pants and a dark baseball hat. Police say he was driving a blue Chrysler Sebring.
The victim told police someone snatched her purse off a counter at the mall. Because her iPhone was in the purse, she used an application to locate the phone and found it to be in Taylor. Taylor police went to the indicated location but did not find the phone.
