Troy Police: Suspicious Solicitor Asks for Eye Contact

A resident on the 500 block of Miracle called police early Wednesday afternoon after a suspicious man came to her door. 

According to a media release from the , the woman told police the man "said he was going into the communications field and needed to earn points by making eye contact with people."

The man also said he needed "a second chance" and asked the woman to purchase books and magazines for charity. In order to get the man to leave, the woman gave him $13 in cash.
