Troy Ranked A Top Place To Buy A Forever Home

TROY, MI — Troy isn't just a good place to buy a home. It's actually a good place to buy a forever home. That's the finding of a new study by the personal finance website GoodCall.com.

Researchers from GoodCall.com analyzed 509 cities across the U.S. Each city was measured on seven factors: affordability, home value growth, population growth, crime rate, unemployment rate, and education (the percentage of people with a high school degree and percentage of people with a college degree).

The result? Troy came in as the 25th best place to buy a forever home. The city earned high marks for its affordability, high education rate, and rock bottom unemployment and crime.

Also representing Michigan and landing top spots on the best place to buy a forever home list include Rochester Hills (11th place) and Ann Arbor (45th place).
