Troy Scores Big On 'Coolest Places To Work In Michigan' List

TROY, MI — Not only is Troy a great place to send your children to elementary school, but it’s apparently a great place to work, too. Crain’s Detroit Business recently released its annual list of “Cool Places to Work in Michigan” and Troy led the pack — by far — with 14 out of the top 100.

Crain’s used Harrisburg, Pa.-based Best Companies Group to produce its rankings. Any company with at least 15 employees could participate.

Detailed information on its benefits and policies, workplace culture, company leadership and perks were among the criteria used to make the rankings. Company employees were asked to complete a survey that asked whether employees understand the long-term strategy of the company, Crain’s wrote.

Breakroom arcade games, a company dog and and on-site chef were among those perks at companies that made the list. Besides Troy, Novi scored six companies in the top 100 and Royal Oak five. Here’s Crain’s Detroit Business 2017 list:
