OAKLAND COUNTY, MI — President Donald Trump is putting forth a strong effort to campaign in Michigan ahead of the Nov. 3 election. A day after Vice President Mike Pence is scheduled to speak at a Make America Great Again Rally in Flint, Trump is scheduled to visit Oakland County.

Trump is expected to deliver remarks at a 1 p.m. rally in Waterford Township. Doors will open for the rally, which is to be held at the Oakland County International Airport, at 10 a.m.

Friday's rally will be Trump's second event in Michigan in less than a week. On Tuesday, the president made his first visit to the Lansing area since 2016.

With less than a week until Election Day, Trump is trailing Democratic rival Joe Biden in most national polls, according to The Associated Press.

Both candidates have made several stops to the Mitten State trying to sway voters currently undecided. Trump spoke in Muskegon on Oct. 17 in support of law enforcement, then followed that up with his first trip to the Lansing area since 2016 on Tuesday.
