The Troy Colt Marching Band, under the direction of Brian P. Nutting, doesn't just march.  Past halftime productions have included square dancing, super sleuths solving mysteries, butterflies flying across the field and a Mexican Fiesta!

This year’s show, “Magic Carpet Ride,” features just that: a magic carpet! Such shows are a hit at festivals and competitions, too. The Marching Band usually participates in two or three Invitationals plus the annual Michigan School Band and Orchestra Association Marching Band Festival, held in October.  This year’s festival will be held at Troy High on October 10 starting at 6:15 p.m.

The Colt Marching Band has received top honors at the Albion Festival of the Forks, Smoky Mountain Music Festival, Troy Daze, America's Thanksgiving Day, Disney and London parades. The Band has been privileged to participate in the San Antonio Fiesta! Parade twice – first in 2006 and again in 2012, receiving awards for Best Non-Local Band and Band Travelling the Farthest Distance.  TV commentators and spectators are consistently blown away by the quick precision of the band's parade march movement and choreography.
