Zeus, World's Tallest Dog, Visits Troy Petco

At Petco's crowded adoption event in Troy this Sunday, it was the massive Great Dane, Zeus, who stood out from the crowd – literally.

At 44 inches tall from paw to shoulder, Zeus, who is from Ostego, MI, is the world's tallest dog. In fact, when standing on his hind legs, he can stretch as tall as 7 feet 4 inches.

Zeus, who is just three years old, weighs 155 pounds and is an inch taller than the previous record-holding Great Dane, Giant George. Zeus helped promote the adoption event, which featured dozens of adoptable pets from the area.
