Buddy's Is Opening In Woodhaven With These Deals

WOODHAVEN, MI — Buddy’s Pizza, birthplace of the Original Detroit-Style Pizza, is opening its newest restaurant, 21611 Allen Road, in Woodhaven on Thursday, Sept. 5.

The grand opening will include exciting giveaways, allowing customers the chance to win free pizza. Here's what you can look forward to:

  • Free Pizza for a Year: The first 100 customers in the restaurant on opening day will receive coupons for one free pizza, per month, for one year
  • Veterans who dine in at the new location Sept. 5-8 will receive a free, 4-square cheese pizza during their visit

Buddy’s will also partner with two non-profits for this opening: Buddy-to-Buddy, a volunteer veteran’s program, and the Animal Resource Funding Foundation (ARFF), an organization that provides shelters with items to improve quality of life.

During opening week, Buddy’s will donate $1 from every 8-square pizza sold to the Buddy-to-Buddy program, and from Sept. 5-8, any veteran with proof of service will receive a free 4-square cheese pizza when they dine in.

“We appreciate the help we receive from Buddy’s Pizza,” said Buddy-to-Buddy Program Manager, Bill Bryan. “Not only does Buddy’s create public awareness for programs like ours, but also gives us vital funding we need to support veterans in Michigan.”

All proceeds from the sale of Buddy Bones at the Woodhaven location will go directly to ARFF. Buddy Bones, shaped like bones but created from repurposed multi-grain dough, are all-natural dog biscuits available two for $2.

“We are grateful that Buddy’s Pizza has extended their partnership reach, allowing us to get needed funding and supplies for the animals and shelters we service,” said President of the Animal Resource Funding Foundation, Patricia Odette.

The new restaurant is approximately 7,000-square-feet with room for 200 guests, including 25 seats on an outdoor patio. The space will feature elements from Buddy’s Detroit roots and its unique, hand-made way of doing things. Design elements will showcase the spirit of Buddy’s and help make cheerful moments for the families they serve.
