Burnsville Cyclist Wins High School Mountain Biking Championship

Jordan Horner was first among the girls competing in the Minnesota High School Cycling League this year.

Burnsville’s Jordan Horner pedaled away with this year’s Minnesota High School Cycling League girls’ championship.

Horner tallied 2,259 points over five races, the last of which took place Sunday in Mankato. The total was good enough to beat the runner-up by 88 points. In all, she chalked up the following finishes:

  • Sept. 8 at Salem Hills: First
  • Sept. 21 at Jail Trail: First
  • Sept. 29 at Hillside Trail: First
  • Oct. 13 at Whitetail Ridge: Second
  • Oct. 27 at Mankato: Second

An awards party is scheduled for Saturday.
