Burnsville Lions Skate Park Hosts Grand Opening Saturday
The event will feature a variety of speakers, demonstrations, a ribbon cutting, a DJ, vendor booths, contests, and prizes.
Are you a fan of biking and skateboarding?
You're invited to celebrate the grand opening of the newly upgraded, 11,500 square-foot Burnsville Lions Skate Park. Festivities begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 17 with free hot dogs, beverages and chips provided by the Burnsville Lions Club, according to a news release.
The event will feature a variety of speakers, demonstrations, a ribbon cutting, a DJ, vendor booths, informal contests and prizes.

Following the ribbon cutting, community members are invited to skate and bike in the new park.
The upgraded skate park includes an amoeba-shaped bowl with extension, six-stair set with handrail and step up, a variety of grind ledges, transition hips and a China bank that is designed for all ages and skill levels.

The upgrades were made possible through a donation of nearly $80,000 from the Burnsville Lions Club, as well as donations from the Burnsville Breakfast Rotary, the Burnsville Rotary, Zombie Boardshop, Coulee Bank, LCH Paper Tube and Core Company and the Burnsville Skate Park Committee.
