Burnsville Looking To Hire Firefighters, Paramedics

BURNSVILLE, MN— The city of Burnsville announced that it is looking to hire full-time firefighter/paramedics.

Applications close June 1, the city said. The first round of interviews will begin June 9 and the second round will begin June 22, the city said.

Applicants must have the following certifications:

• I.F.S.A.C. or ProBoard Accredited Firefighter II Certification
• Current National Registry Certification as a Paramedic
• Currently certified or eligible for certification as a Paramedic in Minnesota
• Eligible to obtain MN Firefighter licensure immediately upon hiring
• NIMS IS-100, NIMS IS-200 and NIMS IS-700
• Successfully completed a Hazardous Materials Operations NFPA 472 Compliant Class

There has been a recent shortage of emergency responders in Burnsville.
