Burnsville Students To Participate In State-Wide Walkout

BURNSVILLE, MN— Students from Burnsville High School are planning to participate in a state-wide walkout Monday, Minnesota Teen Activists said on their Instagram.

The walkout is in protest of racial injustice and will begin at 1 p.m. for schools across Minnesota, the organization said.

These walkouts come in the wake of the killing of Daunte Wright by a police officer during a traffic stop, and precede the verdict of the Derek Chauvin trial.

An alleged carjacker was also fatally shot by Burnsville police on Sunday.
