BURNSVILLE, MN — Are you looking for some family-friendly fun in Burnsville? Children and adults are invited to catch a concert, see a movie or attend a festival in the city this summer. All events are free.
Wednesday in the Park Concerts: Civic Center Park, 75 Civic Center Parkway, 7 p.m.

- July 11: Riverside Rockets (early rock and roll)
- July 18: Alma Andina (Andean and Latin American)
- July 25: Rock It Man (dueling pianos)
- Aug. 1: We Are the Willows (orchestral indie rock)
- Pre-concert activity: All-ages kickball game and wood carving demonstrations
- Aug. 8: Local artists from THE GARAGE
- Pre-concert activity: Tours of THE GARAGE all-ages music venue
- Aug. 15: The High 48s (classic and modern bluegrass)
- Pre-concert activity: Log rolling, photo booth, instrument carving and “sneak peek” preview of Summer Community Theater production - Cinderella
Thursday Rockin’ Lunch Hour Concerts: Nicollet Commons Park, 12600 Nicollet Ave., Noon
Geared toward preschool-aged audiences. Prior to Rockin’ Lunch Hour Concerts, elementary principals and school officials from Burnsville-Eagan-Savage School District 191 will read books to kids.

Free movies at Nicollet Commons Park in the Heart of the City. Pre-show music will be provided by one of Apple Valley High School’s most talented musicians, Graden Hill, and popcorn will be available for purchase.
