Caribou Coffee Introduces 'Caribou Cabins' In Minnesota

The new store format will first come to Burnsville and four other towns in the coming months.

BURNSVILLE, MN — Caribou Coffee announced what it hopes will be a cozy new store format, known as Caribou Cabins, Monday. Caribou Cabins will offer an expanded beverage menu with a selection of breakfast sandwiches and bakery items.

"Caribou Coffee will continue to lean into the Northern roots that made our brand what it is today," John Butcher, President and CEO of the Twin Cities-based company, said in a statement.

Cabin customers will be greeted daily with a warm "Welcome to the Cabin" by baristas. Internal training modules are being called 'Bou Bonfires as Caribou trains its team members on how to best live "life at the cabin," according to a news release.

Five Caribou Cabins will open in the coming months with grand openings slated in Jordan, Burnsville, St. Peter, Big Lake, and Willmar.
