Closures On I-35W Bridge In Burnsville Begin Next Week
The lane restrictions mark the beginning of a multi-year project to replace the I-35W Minnesota River Bridge.

BURNSVILLE, MN — Motorists traveling on I-35W between Cliff Road in Burnsville and 106th Street in Bloomington should plan for overnight delays as both directions of the road will be reduced to a single lane beginning Aug. 20.
Beginning at 7 p.m. Monday, August 20, expect alternating lane closures nightly on I-35W between Cliff Road and 106th Street as crews conduct preliminary work for the I-35W Minnesota River bridge reconstruction project.
At 9 p.m. the road may be reduced to a single lane. All lanes are expected to open each day by 5 a.m. through September.

The work will include reconstructing the I-35W Bridges spanning the Minnesota River, and 106th Street. Replacing pavement from Cliff Road to 106th Street and constructing a trail between Black Dog Road and Lyndale Avenue.
