Crystal Beach To Close Thursday: Here's Why

BURNSVILLE, MN — Crystal Beach will close Thursday morning and re-open Friday morning, the city of Burnsville said.

Crews will be doing annual treatment on the beach, the city said. This treatment will be against the tiny invertebrate that cause "swimmer's itch," according to the city.

Treatment will also be done to prevent the growth of certain algae and submerged plants, in order to make the swimming area clearer, the city said.
