Eight Burnsville Blaze Athletes Sign National Letters Of Intent

The athletic department at Burnsville High School recently announced that five student-athletes signed National Letters of Intent on Wednesday, Feb. 1, to play their respective sports at the NCAA Division I or II college of their choosing.

Athletes who signed Wednesday are:

• Callie Athey – girls soccer, St. Catherine University
• Nick Burton – football, University of Wisconsin, Eau Claire
• Matt Gilray – football, University of South Dakota
• Natalie Jamison – girls soccer, Augustana University
• Jackson Martens – football, Iowa Central Community College
• Steph Olson, Jr. – football, Iowa Central Community College
• Jake Shepley – football, Concordia University, St. Paul
• Jake Staats – football, Northern State University

All of these athletes have put together outstanding athletic careers while attending Burnsville High School, as well as outstanding academic success in the classroom.

The Burnsville community wishes them the best of luck as they continue on with their athletic and academic careers.
