ISD 191 Elementary Principals Want To Rescue Cut Extracurriculars

The school board will vote on a proposal next week to use the district's allocation of Title 4 funds to bring back the extracurriculars.

BURNSVILLE, MN— Elementary school principals from Independent School District 191 want to bring back the extracurriculars that were cut within the last few years, Sun Thisweek reported.

The school board will vote on a plan May 27 to spend $48,000 on advisor stipends, which would bring back extracurriculars like the science fair, technology club, student council and peer leaders, the publication reported.

The new proposal would fund the activities through the district's allocation of Title 4 funds for student support and academic enrichment, the publication reported.
