ISD 191 Plan For Permanent Virtual Learning To Move Forward

BURNSVILLE,MN—ISD 191’s Board of Education has approved the district’s plan to permanently offer distance learning as an option for students beginning in the 2021-2022 school year, the district announced in a news release February 8. The school district includes Burnsville, Savage, and some areas of Eagan.
The next step in implementing the plan would be getting approval from the state, which would come this spring, the news release said.
The district has used online learning program One91 Virtual Academy throughout the pandemic, and although many students have struggled with distance learning, many others have thrived.

The program is currently available for K-12 students, and assists students in preparing for success after graduation, the release stated. The program is also specifically designed for online learning.
