ISD 191 Schools Will Stay In Current Learning Model
Middle and high schools will continue hybrid learning and elementary schools will continue in-person learning.
BURNSVILLE, MN— Schools in Independent School District 191 will stay in their current learning models for the remainder of the school year, Superintendent Theresa Battle said Thursday.
Middle and high schools will continue hybrid learning and elementary schools will continue in-person learning, the district said.
This decision will not affect students in One91 Virtual Academy, the district said.

“This is not a decision I’ve come to lightly and I’ve reached it after consulting with our COVID Advisory Committee, hearing from staff members, and gathering input from parents,” Battle said.

- Rising cases of COVID-19 in the community
- A high positive result rate for tests-over 5%.
- The higher risk associated with the B 117 variant.
- The greater risk of high numbers of students being quarantined
- Wanting to protect activities, athletics, prom and graduation.
- Avoiding another transition to fully online learning
