Missing Burnsville Boy Dies Wednesday After Being Found In Pool

BURNSVILLE, MN— A five-year-old boy died Wednesday night after being found in a pool on Greenhaven Lane, Matt Smith, a captain at the Burnsville Police Department, said.

Just after 5 p.m., officers responded to a call about a missing five-year-old, officials said. At 5:43 p.m., officers got a second call about a child in the pool at Greenhaven Lane, officials said.

Officers identified the boy as the same boy who had earlier been reported missing, officials said.

Officers and paramedics tried to treat him before he was brought to Regions Hospital where he was pronounced dead, officials said.
