Restaurants Celebrate Remodeled Design with Krystal® Cruiser Charity Efforts

Augusta, GA- As part of a grand re-opening that spans nine stores in the Augusta, Georgia market, The Krystal Company® announced a week-long partnership to support 11 local charities. The Krystal® Cruiser mobile restaurant will be traveling throughout Augusta from March 28 – April 2 with all proceeds from food sales being donated directly to organizations ranging from schools to community safety programs and neighborhood food banks. Krystal lovers in the area can lend their support by visiting one of the Krystal® Cruiser appearances to purchase one of the restaurant brand’s iconic square Krystal® hamburgers, fried Chik sandwich, fries, or Coca-Cola® product.

Krystal® Grand Re-Opening

Augusta will be the first market to unveil the new Krystal® restaurant design, which includes updated interior and exterior décor, colors and lighting. Of the nine total stores to receive the makeover, eight are already complete and will be hosting individual grand re-opening events in mid-April.

The Krystal® Charity Tour begins on Monday, March 28 and ends on Saturday, April 2. The cruiser will visit different locations throughout the week in support of a specific Augusta charity. Steamy Krystals® will be sold at each location though prices may vary.

“We are thrilled to be partnering with amazing organizations throughout Augusta,” says Alice Crowder, Vice President of Marketing for The Krystal Company. “It is an honor to give back to a community that has supported us for so many years.”

Krystal will be partnering with the Sheriff’s Department, The Family Y, Golden Harvest, The Club House, Augusta University Food Bank, Cecil R. Turner Memorial Fund Scholarship, Turn Back the Block, SafeHomes, Augusta Warrior Project, Communities in Schools in Augusta and Richmond City and The First Tee Augusta. The benefit schedule is as follows:

March 30: 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at 1120 15th St to support the Augusta University Food Bank

March 31: 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at 260 Bobby Jones Expressway to support Turn Back the Block
